to the participants of the VIII International Chess Tournament «World's Youth Stars»
Dear friends!
I warmly greet participants and guests of the VIII International Chess Tournament “World’s Youth Stars” dedicated to Vanya Somov’s memory.
From six countries the strongest young chess players take part in this tournament. I wish all them creative achievements and good luck. I hope that the representatives from Russia will show their good qualities and combativity on the chessboard and fill up a cohort of Grand Masters.
Competition in Kirishi is a splendid sport tradition that has been suspended and developed for 8 years already. All this time the organization gets the highest point of young chess players and coaches, guests and journalists. So, I’m sure that this year, in May 2010, will be the same.
Let in the sport sky there are more bright “asterisks”!
